ABOUT MODERN COLLEGE

Modern College was established on the 8th August 1963 spread over 15 acres is situated in the Imphal East District Head quarter of Manipur surrounded by the District Police Head quarter, Deputy Commissioner Complex and Jawaharlal Nehru (J.N.) Hospital with a scenic beauty of hills in the background. And more...........

The college follows the academic callender of Manipur University. Normally the new academic session commences from the first week of July of the year and the examinations are conducted in the month of April and May of the following year.

College prospectus :

The college brings out its updated prospectus annually by incorporating the changes therein from time to time. The details of fee structure, rules and regulations of the college to be followed by the students etc. are clearly stated in it.

College syllabus :

As the college is affiliated to Manipur University (Central University ), the college follows the syllabus and curriculum designed by the Manipur University.

Teaching staff :

The college has qualified teaching staff with 21 ph.D. degree holders and 10 M-phil in its credit. They help in imparting higher and uptodate knowledge to the students in teaching and learning process using modern teaching aids.

Research activity :

A number of teachers has taken various research projects from the U.G.C. and other funding agencies in different fields of study to enhance the research activity in the college.

College Library :

The college has a separate library building, constructed with U.G.C. assistance, having more than 18,000 volumes of books and 20 journals on various subjects. All the books and journals in the library are computerized for quick access by the readers.
